What Is the NAN Voter Brigade?

The NAN Voter Brigade is a nationwide organizing and voter-protection initiative of National Action Network. We are building teams in communities across the country to make sure eligible voters are informed, engaged, supported, and prepared to exercise their right to vote.

On August 28, Rev. Al Sharpton stood at the Lincoln Memorial and made clear that the March on Washington would not be the end of the movement. It would be the beginning of the next phase. Rev. Sharpton has called for Civil Rights Voter Brigades to organize across America, with trained people on the ground helping communities exercise and protect their right to vote. The message is simple: We marched in Washington. Now we organize at home.

The Voter Brigade Is Going City to City

Rev. Al Sharpton is taking the call to defend the vote directly into communities across the country through rallies, organizing meetings, clergy gatherings, and Voter Brigade mobilizations. Each stop brings together local NAN chapters, clergy, elected officials, civil rights organizations, community leaders, young people, and residents ready to organize. Each stop is designed to do more than hold a rally. We are recruiting. We are training. We are organizing. We are building the Voter Brigade.

Building a national movement requires resources.
